they are frozen, i swear,
mid-jump, not sweaty at all.
after midnight the halogen glare
makes children look like adults-
a small nose casts a huge shadow
a tiny dimple is a crater.
the only thing that moves is the ball,
hypnotized by what could have been
non-linear geometry.
